This week, significant progress has been made on various tasks:
Console Commands: Implemented console commands with a focus on improving blueprint support, despite challenges arising from complex networking architecture.
Updated Inventory System: Devoted effort to updating the inventory system, encountering complexities related to networking and project architecture. While still a work in progress, efforts are ongoing to overcome challenges and complete the task.
Weekly Problems & Rating
Encountered challenges include:
Project Architecture Complexity: Dealt with a complex project architecture, hindering refactoring efforts and leading to additional tasks due to the intricate relationship between classes.
Network Architecture Issues: Faced difficulties with network architecture, particularly in implementing damage within the weapon instead of the health component, resulting in repetitive damage networking implementation for each source.
Despite challenges, maintained a high level of effort and dedication to tackling complex tasks and collaborating with team members to improve project architecture.
Future Plans
Looking ahead to the next week, the focus will be on:
Continuing Work on Inventory System: Dedicate additional time to refining and completing the inventory system, aiming for significant progress and overcoming existing challenges.
Polishing Weapon Mechanics: Refine and fix issues with weapon mechanics, such as recoil and weapon fall-off, to enhance overall gameplay experience.
